Goodbye Summer!
Well guys, we’re coming full circle after our blog at the start of the summer and we’ve finally reached the end, and what an amazing one we’ve had.
We’ve been up and down the country playing at weddings, birthdays, corporate shindigs and our very first christening. Because although we're London-based roaming band, we pretty much go anywhere! You name it, we’ve been there.
In August, we had the pleasure of travelling over the border into Wales to celebrate the wedding of John and Sophie. Now we didn’t get to be there for their special day, but we did join them for their post wedding lunch on the following one, where we got to spend the afternoon with their friends and family who looked after us amazingly well. Never before have we seen such a big game of tug of war going on between two families.
Another special wedding we got to perform for was the marriage of Luciana and Jonathan. We mentioned in our previous blog 'In the Summertime, when the weather is fine' that we love to be performing outside when the sun is shining down on everyone. And this was one of those special occasions where we could do just that.
Sharing their first dance with such a beautiful surrounding is why we love what we do and we can’t thank them enough for letting us be part of it.
It's not often that you get to perform for people's guests who are also dining on Raymond Blanc's food, but that's exactly what we did for the spectacular birthday of Virginia, and what a birthday party she threw! A black tie affair that was up there with likes of the Oscars, we performed to guests as they had their drinks reception in...well you can see from the picture below how picturesque it was.
And finally we had some fantastic shots through of us from a recent wedding we performed in Essex. You can see us performing after the guests had finished their desserts as the "sweet appetiser" for them. Guests were singing along at their tables and the kids really enjoyed Lewis's monkeying around playing King of the Swingers from the Jungle Book.
We've had a brilliant summer and one that we wish wouldn't end, but the rest of the year and then we'll be in summer 2018 in no time.
It's also chance for you to see us at your events! The diary is already open for you, so if you're reading this then what are you waiting for? The Wanderland Band want to meet you! Please do get in contact now to book us for your wedding or event.
